update on move to Las Vegas
Well my contract is in and will be posted as "accepted" sometime in the very near future. I did get the higher salary !! This means that I will be takjng home about $13K more (gross) per year than I am right now.
I will be driving to Vega; me, my kitties and one or two friends. My stuff will go down in one of those pods (they drop it off, you pack it, they pick it up and ship it to new place and you unpack). I figure I will be leaving the last week of July/1st week of August. I need to be in Vegas by the 15th to start work. School starts on the 27th.
I will be working in Northeast Vegas, the school is just east of North Las Vegas Airport. I figure I will be living in that area too. I have already contacted the Sylvan in the area to see if they need another teacher--they do. I am not sure how much I will work for them, but I have decided that any money I make there is going to be going into a "buy Susan a condo" account.
I will be going to the Gaia Consort concert this weekend at the Russian community center. On Sunday I will be at Aarron's party. I hope to see some of you I haven't seen recently at one or the other of these events.
I would love to see everyone before I leave--especailly if I haven't seen you in a while. I am feeling better than I have in months and feel much more mobile. Call or email me to get together...
