Classes have started and this semester will be challenging. really challenging being that I'm going to give birth to my third boy in April.. I'm taking Pathology and Novice to Expert through Stonybrook's online program.  The Pathology will be like any hard-core science so it'llbe work but managable. At least with those types of classes if there are any concepts or topics that I need clarification on it's pretty easy to find additional resource materials online. Now the other class is expecting 90 hours of clinical time. I can't just use my time spent at work. Oh nooooo . These are the guidlines...

1. Presentation 1/2 hour - 45 min in length. (Required) 40 hours - This professional presentation topic is chosen by you and presented to your chosen audience. The presentation should be professional and well researched. Be creative! You may choose to prepare handouts, a PowerPoint presentation, and/or provide a hands on demonstration. (This professional presentation is to be given to colleagues. You may chose to present to ancillary staff or the community to fufill this requirement, however, you will receive only 20 hours.)
2. Volunteer work (health related) -  Examples, BP screening, health fairs. American Cancer Society.
3. Educational programs - Development of  DVD's or other learning tools. (Patient education pamphlet - 15 hours)
4. Attendance at professional conferences. 1 contact hour = 1 hour clinical (Journal will include discussion of information and evaluation/application to your clinical practice)
5. Participation in Church ministeries for Health Care Professionals in local parishes.
6. Author a professional journal article. It does not have to be accepted for publication to earn the hours. (50 hours)
7. ACLS- this will be worth 8 hours of clinical time.
   

oh man oh man. plus there are plenty of 'papers' for this class. I took taking only 2 classes was going to be do-able. *sigh* I guess we'll see.

And Aidan's turned into a biter. A boob biter. My breasts are covered in scratches and bite marks. My friend with 4 kids suggests biting back. I think that sounds like a plausible idea.
