21 - Parks and Recreation S3
This batch was made for 20inspirations and the theme of this month's challenge was "complex". And complex is basically the opposite of my style so it was def a bit rough at times. You can see the prompts here if you are curious.
I cannot begin to explain how insanely challenging this was. I almost quit about 30 times. Complex is not my style at all though I very much admire icon makers who use it often and with gorgeous results. I didn't complete a single icon the first 5 days of the challenge because I either just couldn't make it or I hated it so much I deleted it. It really wasn't until this past weekend that I got into a bit a groove when I realized my own personal idea of complex icons wasn't the only kind of complex icons.
That doesn't exactly mean I'm about to change my style of icons but I have learned more in the nearly 20 days of this challenge than months (MAYBE even years) of fiddling around on my own and not really challenging myself. In the end I made a batch of icons I know I worked hard on and while I may not like all of them (especially the first few I attempted) at least I tried. And now I'm gonna get my party on.
