i was checking my email just now and saw sarah's comment:
"I was so going to say that you look Asian too. No lie. You are really getting into this Korea trip aren't you?"
i laughed and thom asked me what i was laughing about. i had told him last night about me and patrick's back and forth about looking asian.
he said, "you know, i hear that when you spend a lot of time with asian people you start to hold your face like them."
to this, of course, i gave a look.
he continued, "no, a friend of mine lived in japan for a year and when she came back she looked...more asian. they hold their facial muscles differently. i didn't believe it when people told me either but when she came back, i could see a difference. and she doesn't even look asian, like you."
...and she doesn't even look asian, like you. *sigh*
i'm in canada. ottawa, to be specific. thom bought croissants this morning and then snagged one from the continental breakfast to compare. "now...take a bite of the continental breakfast and one from the bakery!"
my friends are very scientific.
