Sounds like an anxiety dream to me, nightgoblin. The dream is as much about (in)competence and failure to accomplish a task as about drugs. Given everything you've got on your plate this semester, it's hardly surprising that you're having anxiety dreams. The dream about the car is similar in the sense that your dream self is finding the cause of imbalance -- another failure.

I have anxiety dreams all the time. Mostly about lost items, or having to take an exam and being unable to decipher the questions. Or knowing I have a deadline to make, but being unable to move.

As for the drugs -- well, they're a means of escape from reality... Maybe escape into an alternate reality is what your unconscious desires. Well, that's stating the obvious, isn't it?!

So -- that would be my metaphorical reading of your dreams. And now I've psychoanalyzed you! Don't you feel so much better??!! And ready to go cheerfully on with this struggle we call life?! :)

I do hope, though, that your car is fixed so that you can at least drive to all your many obligations.

Escaping reality - very true. Desperately trying to escape it, and failing miserably. Moreover, I'm fully aware of that.

I don't know. I interpret the "rusty wheel" part as something about myself. I'm falling apart somewhere, but can't figure out where exactly.
