Stupid Wreck
So I finally get an offer from the other lady's insurance company on my wreck. They are trying to get away with giving me $31,000. My attorney was trying for $97,000. The break down of it is, my attorney get's 33.3% and then I have almost $17,000 in medical bills and with a settlement of only $31,000 that leaves me with a whopping $5,000. I can't beleive the shit they are trying to pull. I'm sorry but after the shit that I have gone through with this whole ordeal I think I'm due more than $5,000. I had to go to a chiro for 4 months to get my back straightened out, then I had knee surgery and was in physical therapy for a month, and of course there was the hassle of finding a new car and coming up with the down payment. I owe my MIL over $2,000 for helping me with the kids and loaning us her van.
What really sucks, is when my ex was rear-ended he got back $3,000 after medical bills, and he only went to a chiro for a month.
The other thing that really sucks donkey balls, is that if I take the insurance company to court then they take all the attorney, witness & court fees out of my settlement which means I would get even less back.
