Christmas…here we go!
So, just a few hours and then it’s Christmas!
It always amazes me how fast time seems to go when Christmas comes. One day you say “It’s a month ‘till Christmas” and the day after you’re running up and down to get all ready in time.
I went Christmas-shopping last week with my mother, and then by myself to get her presents, too J I don’t like to know in advance what I’ll get, I like the surprise, and I love buying gifts for family and friends, wondering what their face would be like when they open up and see inside. I like searching the right thing, and I’m so happy and satisfied when I find it.
Today I opened up the last window of the advent calendar and I found a picture of Santa (and a little chocolate shaped in the same way), and so it struck me that the countdown is really over…the tree and the house are decorated, the nativity (well, I don’t know the exact word to translate it, we call it “presepio” in Italian) is set, and the sack with the presents is right under the tree.
And to make the day full the big dinner with family, the midnight mass, and then Christmas begins!
