This May sees the fifth anniversary of the final exam of the hands down most hated class I have ever had the misfortune of being in: Introduction to syntax. The only thing in that class that brought me some kind of joy was the part of the textbook talking about subject auxiliary inversion, because they rarely bothered spelling it all out.
