What can you say against somebody whose last words are "Don't forget me"?

New layout is new. And white. And has a picture of my favourite tragic Weimar Republic-era German boy. And in celebration of that,
I got from yumemiya ages ago, and forgot about it. How could I. I love him.
1. Do you like this character?
I just dedicated my LJ layout to him (and Ed), which should speak for itself. But as already said, I love him. Superficially, it's the mullet. Mentally, it's how he represents an era that fascinates me. Beyond that, probably what everybody else loves: the inherent tragedy of his life. Ironically enough, I think that a lot of my early fascination with him was a subconscious reaction to the odd position he fills in the story. I know I spent a lot of time trying to figure him out, mentally and morally and more recently, also in terms of the narrative (orz). He is probably the most important person in Ed's life, but they only have four or five short scenes together - it's just weird (like the whole movie is, which is why I don't actually care more). And I'm way off topic.
2.What name/s do you call this character?
I call him Alfons Heiderich, as I rarely bother spelling out "Alphonse" in its full length. The fandom can never agree with itself, and there was a time of my life when I kept on referring to him as nazi!Al because the Germanic spelling inevitably made me think of this guy here.
Also: I pronounce that name better than both the American and the Japanese cast.
3.What image/color do you associate with this character?
Cool pastels; grays and blues, light browns. He's so awfully twenties and academic and industrial and in the end, still the Al to Ed's red coat.
4.What image-song do you associate with this character?
The Smashing Pumpkins' Adore is my favourite record ever, and has been my Elricest soundtrack for some years now. Alfons himself doesn't quite fit it (it's pretty much a concept album about how Billy Corgan's mom died), but "To Sheila", the first song, could have been his and Ed's theme song.
5.What blood-type do you think this character is?
I don't do anime blood types. Sorry. I never had the chance to get into the Sailor Moon fandom.
6.Of all of the titles that this character appears in, what character do you like to put this character with?
You know what they say: The movie was probably made to let people ship Elricest without the incest. That is to say, OH GOD HOW CANON ARE HE AND ED ANYWAY. I'm not averse to seeing him with Al or, thanks to kooky AUs, Winry. And if I have to ship Noa with anybody, it'd be him all the way.
7.What would you want to say to this character?
That I am so proud of what he achieved. Even if he's a cartoon character. And helped out the wrong kind of people in the name of friendship (maybe). And it was all kind of in vain.
8.What do you want to do with this character:
IDK, rit gud fic? I drew him once. It was weird.
