Oh, man (1337 kana version). I don't think anything can ever top the Pokemon fandom and its one gazillion pairing names (*wipes tear over the forgotten beauty of Navigatorshipping*), but the Digimon fandom just had a special kind of charm with the name mixing and uke/seme-nazism and every Henry pairing using "Lee" and that one hetfan insisting slash pairings didn't exist in shounen anime and that the boy's name always came first. I'm no fan of name mixing in other fandoms, but it's half of the fun with writing Digimon.
I do so need to find a DVD with "The Man in the Iron Mask". Gerard Depardieu and Jeremy Irons together in a movie about male bonding and swordfights is obviously something I need to OWN. I'd probably like it even better if they spoke French, but people being stabbed without bleeding and the fakest piece of sky that I have ever seen makes its Hollywood-ism rather evident anyway. Plus, it has Leonardo DiCaprio being bishie with pretty long hair. Even if Philippe scares the crap out of me.
I realize that the tiny history geek that lives in me should hate it, and the canon nazi as well had I ever gotten around reading "The Three Musketeers". But as it is, I just love it for having middle-aged men running around being cool.
