Birthday stuff, part 2.

Jan 20, 2013 20:37

So, here's how the birthday and such happened.

Tuesday morning at around 11:30 I decided that I wanted to go to Bw3. We'd decided to go to the one nearest my house, since Bob had to work in a few hours. While I like the Bw3 by my house, and while the English guy that we've seen two times now is funny, I like the Bw3 by Bob's house better. The English guy kept referring to us as "The three of you," and once I realized that the third person that he was talking about was Wendell, I found it amusing. At first though, I was sort of like, "What the heck." He then kept asking if we were going to get Wendell a kids meal. If this were to happen, we'd have to get her a boneless meal, and give it to her when she got home, since I refuse to give my dog human food for the most part. if I ever do it goes in to her bowl.
I was in one of my silly moods, so eating and talking with Bob was quite fun. Afterwards, we went back to my house where Bob gave me "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" in audio. I look forward to reading this since it's one of his favorite books. He's reading the Matched trilogy for me, and I’m reading Dracula, and now will read this new book for him. Phantom of the Opera is also on the "things Bob's interested in" list. Same with Slaughter house Five. I can't say that I’ve ever had a boyfriend that's wanted to read things I like, or check out bands I’m in to without making fun of such things in the future. Just one of the many reasons why Bob is awesome. The rest of the day was just relaxing. I'd hoped that Dad and I would go out for a couple drinks after he'd gotten home, but that didn't happen. I was a bit disappointed, but I knew that there was the party on Thursday so it was all right in the end.
I got it in my head that I wanted to go to Steak 'n Shake Wednesday night, so I texted Bob later in the day and I asked if we could go there Wednesday night since we were hanging out anyway. I figured it'd be a good place to go, and I had been craving a shake all day. I just didn't want to go there for lunch on my actual birthday since I had Bw3 in my head. We did end up going there and at first I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to eat there, since it'd said "Dining room closed."
Turned out that there were no servers, and the person working said that we could eat in there since it was slow. I was glad we were able to, and both Bob and I figured it'd be a good idea to give her a nice tip. I got the Portobello mushroom steak sandwich, and chili cheese fries, as well as the peanut butter banana shake. I'm a fan of peanut butter and banana both, but I think that my favorite shake from there is still the peanut butter cup one though. I did like that shake though since the consistency was more like a sundae than a shake, and because of everything combined I was full for like 12 hours.
Thursday ended up being quite fun. I had a hard time waking up, but once I was awake I was good for the day. I figured since we were going to the Hickory House for dinner that a good nice light lunch would be Taco Bell. Wendell got to go for a nice unexpected ride, and I got to have a Mexican Pizza which ended up being quite good. Lots of tomatoes. Watched a couple more episodes of Freaks and Geeks, then we were off. The Hickory House was just as good as it was the first time I'd gone there, and seeing Bob's Mom and her boyfriend was fun as always. They got me a quite cute card, as well as a $25 gift certificate for Kohl’s. I'm excited about this, since I could go for some new blue jeans. If anyone goes to the Hickory House, I suggest they have the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. It is ever so amazing. Same with their bread and salad. I could eat at that place for the rest of my life and be content.
After dinner we went to Giant Eagle to get the red Velvet cake that I'd decided on, then went on a candle search. Couldn't find them at CVS, but we ended up finding them at Kroger. They ended up being 2 3's. I didn't get to look at them before they were put on the cake, but this was ok with me. Hung out with Dad for awhile, I put on my dragonfly necklace since I'd forgotten to wear it the previous day, then we left.
The first person I saw was George, and this was cool, because I always like talking with him. he'll sing in between the songs to whatever Ace is playing, and I’ll say, "Hey George, you should sing that song." This happened through out the night, but we also talked about other things as well. Mostly me being girly with him about Bob.
RKMetal, and Mark who I don't know terribly well came in next, and I got to talk with both of them quite a bit. RKMetal it turns out knows someone I went to school with, so I asked him about that. Mark and I didn't talk a whole lot though, since he was at the other end of the set of tables.
Lincoln and Michelle I saw next, and with the two of them there, it's always going to be a good time. Michelle was at the other end of the table as well, but I told her before they left that I'd talk with her next time we wouldn't have to yell. Lincoln gave me a "Best of Toby Keith" CD which I’ve not listened to yet, but I will within the next couple days.
The high point of the evening was seeing my friend Darryl. I think the absolute world of Darryl, and it was lucky that I was able to see him. I wasn't sure if he was in town, but sent him an invite to the party, and he made it. Didn't get to talk with him a super lot, but the brief talk I had with him made the evening.
We had cake at around 11:15, and I had issues with blowing out the candles. I managed to do so, and everyone that ate the cake enjoyed it. Even gave Claude a piece. Never heard one bad word about how the cake tasted, so I was pleased. This being said, anyone that has any kind of party needs to get the Red Velvet cake from Giant Eagle. This goes out mostly to the locals. the second cake ended up being a White Almond cake, and I didn't get to try this till the next day.
Ricky bought me an Irish Coffee, which I’d never had before. I think that if I’m ever cold, and want to drink, this would be the drink for me. the cup was all nice and rich people looking, and I was not complaining about this at all. There's Baileys and Coffee too that I must try, but we'll see. Depends on how much it costs.
I started getting tired at around 12:30, so Bob and I left soon after that. I'm glad that everyone came, and ended up having a good time, and I’m glad Bob put the party together. 33 is going to be an awesome year, I think.

Pizza will be ready soon, so I’m going to end this entry.
