mom and i are thinking about doing the Sherwood Forest Renaissance Faire (sherwoodforestfaire.com) as vendors, but are required to either build a permanent building (WAY too expensive) or have a period-appropriate tent. Now, i've been doing some research and I can't seem to find any vendors that sell them... i've found scant instructions on how to build them.. i'm not sure how semi-permanent they can be, but they are trying very hard to keep it period.
we have an ez up ii tent... I'm thinking of ways to modify it, but i'm not thinking it'll be easy, if at all. We'd have to cover up all the metal parts, including the interior framework, which is somewhat extensive on the II. it's got a center spike, though.
any thoughts? advice? it needs to be big enough to sell our jewelry, set up a demo spot, and maybe put some cloaks on a rack... also needs to be more-or-less waterproof.
