I LOVE THIS! It's so sweet and sad. The descriptions are fantastic! I live in New York. deelaundry really did her footwork! All of the callbacks give it such great continuity with the show. I hope that Wilson can someday realize that he has changed so many peoples' lives. And that Jamie is also a legacy of sorts.

Existential crisises are to be expected I guess when you've been given your life back. Although really they haven't got their old life back, and they don't seem to quite have a handle on the new one yet. Maybe the new year will bring clarity on that. Although I'm not sure that I can see House as Godfrey :)

I love House's unique form of caring for Wilson here - make sure he has a drink by ordering one for yourself, and dump water on his feet so he takes his shoes off. It's very House. Something for him and something for Wilson at the same time.

A lovely last line - and something that House does sincerely wish Wilson.

Heh, I don't think House can see himself as a Godfrey, either. It's a tiny joke, a nod to Wilson's passion for old movies. "Godfrey" is from My Man Godfrey, who was played by William Powell. I KNOW, I KNOW, TOO ESOTERIC. But I couldn't resist. :D

The water-dumping and the "Happy Everything" line are both from Blackmare. *g*
