I read both parts in one go, so first things first: Schuylkill Haven! I've been there, more than once ;)

As usual you all are geniuses at setting a mood and place, and giving the little IC details that help me see and hear H & W. I loved the Wilson backstory (and as soon as Jason was introduced, I thought, 'Aw, his high school House.' ) What did happen in that cave anyway? Was House right, or does Wilson have some sort of ability to attract ghosts? :)

And of course, I love the bits of UST that they both pretend aren't there. Great Halloween read!

Schuylkill Haven!

Oh my god are you kidding me? I picked it out of a GOOGLE SEARCH! I am amazed (and seriously delighted). :D

What happened in the cave? I think you'd have to poll each one of us, individually. My personal view is that strange things happen, even in broad daylight, for which there are no readily-available explanations. Ambiguous scary stuff is ambiguous. ;-)

Many thanks for reading! ♥

I'm still not sure what happened to Wilson in that old house... but when it leads to the two of them snuggling surreptitiously for comfort, who cares? ;)

Thanks for the thrills & chills!

You're very welcome! And I'm not sure Wilson knows what happened -- either in the cave or in the house. *g*

Thank you for reading!

What a great, spooky story! I second all the comments above - the mood-setting details, the UST, the backstory, and the whole creepiness without explanation. House and Wilson are so in-character. I especially liked Wilson reading, dramatically, no less, a passage from a sexy bodice ripper. Too funny! And, 'You could bottom' - inspired on all counts. I am looking forward to more travels with Greg and James, and hoping you haven't run out of inspiration. Surely at some point the boys will get a clue.

*g* The "Bodice-Ripper Theatre" was Blackmare's idea! And no, absolutely we have not run out of inspiration. We're in the process of sketching out another arc even as we speak. :D

Thanks for reading! ♥

"Why didn't anyone ever tell me what was in these books?"

Oh, I laughed until I cried! Of course guys don't know that most romance novels are actually soft porn . . .

This story was wonderful on so many levels. The chilling atmosphere of the abandoned house (I love the fact that you make no effort to explain any of it, and especially the way you left lovely, large spaces for the reader's imagination to work in), the connection to Wilson's past, the way all of it is grounded in all the little realistic details -- squashed Moon Pies, the piggy bank, the beanbag chairs . . .

And yes, I did find myself looking over my shoulder as I read, and startling a bit at unexpected noises. What a perfect H/W tale for Halloween!

*beams* You know, that's one of the great benefits of leaving things open-ended and shrouded in ambiguity -- you don't have to explain anything!

... wait, that didn't come out quite right. :D

Thank you so much for reading! ♥ ♥ ♥

Hah, I think what surprised House wasn't that the books were porn, but that this one was so kinky, what with the anal sex and all.

Obviously, House has not spent much time in fandom. :-D

I just love how you say so much and yet allow us our own creepy interpretations.
Once again you were able to induce chills in me.
"You don't stop bleeding and I'll be able to wear this shirt to a job interview at Hooters,"
shut up and coagulate."
Two lines I just adored.

Of course you did a great job capturing the character's voices and actions perfectly. House trying to solve every puzzle, Wilson being, well, Wilson. :)

Great job! I'm proud of myself for reading it. I'm a horror story wuss.

Edit: Oh, and I find it odd how Wilson suddenly stopped bleeding once they were out of the house. FREAKY

Ha, both those lines are by Blackmare. *g*

So many thanks for reading! We're proud of you, too. :D ♥ ♥ ♥

... but. It wasn't me. Were those actually Corgigirl lines?

I'm ... pretty sure they were yours. But I could be totally wrong. I'd have to go look for them. :-)

ETA that I did a search on DW, and you're right, those are Corgigirl's lines. My brain, she does not brain very well anymore.
