Weird

In the past couple of days, I've been exposed to some pretty weird media. First, a few days ago I downloaded William Shatner singing "I'm Gonna Sex You Up". For those who don't know Shatner was Captain Kirk on classic Star Trek. The man can't sing. At all. Yet he's sung quite a few songs.
Second, I watched the movie "Bubba-Hotep". The premise is an aging Elvis Presley, who did not in fact die, must defend his rest home from a mummy with the help of a black man claiming to be JFK. It was funny and interesting, but weird as hell.
Then two days ago I watched "Elephant". I can't say it was good or bad. Mostly it was just weird. The shots go on so long, with absolutely nothing happening in them. You could cut at least half an hour off the film if you were watching only what was necessary.
And then, as the coup de grace, not more than an hour ago I saw "Elimidate:Fabulous Over Fifty". Needless to say I immediately changed the channel. Later, I switched back, and was horrified by a badly aging woman with too much makeup and a halter top on. What a time to be alive.
Oh, and if people could post the dates of peoples' birthdays, that'd be great. People I know, that is. I can only remember Alex's, Kevin's, and for some odd reason Alisha's (Oct. 22?). Mainly just because, hey, it's nice to have someone remember your birthday. And I feel like a jerk when I don't even know it's one of my friends' birthdays until someone else congratulates them on another year's passing in front of me.
