yeah i am still not sure of what i make of it. i was thinking about halfway through that they may be off, because i never saw jack with a full beard before. hmm...we'll see.

Yeah, i have a feeling that is the format for next season.
Real time will be whoever is trying to get back to the island. Flashbacks will be the missing time between last season and the time jump.
Awesome if you ask me. It also fixes several problems that were brewing. Namely, Walt was supposed to be around 11 and was actually 14 or 15 and has grown at least a foot. Plus it lets the baby actually do something other than be cradled. Also we don't have to endure Sun's pregnancy from beginning to end.
Also it's an easy way to write off characters they no longer want to focus on or who want to move on to new projects...they just "don't want to go back to the island"
