Throwback to Journalism Days Format
Welcome to my LiveJournal post for the afternoon of May 2nd, 2011:
- We begin this post with my spring cleaning. I just spent the last four hours cleaning the bathroom. Yuck. I'm pretty much done now. I just need to wait for the bathmat, shower curtain and towels to get out of the dryer and I'm completely done! I also managed to vacuum the vast majority of the apartment and most of the dishes. I'm exhausted. And I still have to make dinner sometime tonight. Phew.
- In local news, I gotta vote tonight. Luckily the voting station is pretty much just a hop and a skip away for me. I'm very much looking forward to watching the live coverage on TV tonight and I hope hope hope that there will be a massive shake-up for Parliament.
- In international news, bin Laden's dead. I need to track down a recording of Obama's speech about that.
- In entertainment news, so I hear there's going to be a new Lupin III series coming out in the fall. No other info has been released yet, but EEEEEEE!!!!! *flails like the fangirl she is*
- And something interesting for last, Nick and I need to finish the last bit of the two-player on Portal 2. I usually hate multi-player games, but the two player on this game is pretty awesome, though short. I don't mind short, though, especially for multi-player. Until then, though, I'm keeping myself entertained my going back through the single player and finding all the Easter Eggs and getting the achievements and working on my own theories of the story line. I also went hunting for fic the other day, but didn't really find much. Any recs? Preferably gen, but I'll take what I can get. I also need to make a turret icon, I just don't know which quote to use yet. Hm...

(For what it's worth, I just reread my post and heard it all in the voice of the Atlantic provinces news anchor for CTV Evening News. I'm easily amused.)
