BIG UPDATE!!!!!
(written at home... it's winter holidays and all Internet cafes are crowded... aghhh)
(oh, and if there are extra "D"s, it's just that my keyboard is going mad... lol)
I've been away for a really long time!!!!! Last time I wrote here, was for some quiz... d'oh!
Anyway.... life had been one really big mess for me the last months, for both good and bad reasons....
1) I'm finally working for my graduation project!! Yay!!!
It's really good, lots of hard work but everyone at the laboratory is amazing and they help me a lot. Last time I went, I filled more than 200 Petri plates with culture medium for fungi (don't know if they're actually called "plates", they are those round, flat things used in labs to grow bacteria and things like that). And this week I'm going to the second sampling site, I hope we're lucky to get enough samples......
2)House of Netjer stuff (just ask if you don't understand): I got through my RPD and I'll become a Shemsu!!!!!! These two things make me so happy....
I was divined daughter of Bast (I knew it!!!! I knew it!!!!!), and beloved of Djehuty, Set (again... I knew it!!!! XD) and Yinepu-Wepwawet, who was the big surprise. There are so many things that make sense now.....
(for those not familiar with Kemetic Names: Djehuty is Thoth, and Yinepu-Wepwawet is Anubis)
So, since I am going to become Shemsu, and that's one big decision, I'm trying to be more regular with my Senut practice. It's just that during clases it was imposible for me to keep a fixed hour for Senut, and some days I returned home so tired I couldn't even think... lol
I'm thinking of making a portable altar, and take it to the university with me (along with water and natron).... there are some quiet and beautiful spots on the surroundings of the building which are perfect for sitting and relaxing.....
I also set up my Akhu (Ancestors) altar, and I'm quite happy with the results!!! It's not how I planned it, but it seems that my Akhu had different plans for it... I ended up placing my big amethyst stones there, ande there are violet flowers in a tiny vase, so the main color is violet...
So, talking about religion, it had been a messy but happy time!!!!
3) I've lost two of my friends....... well, I'm not actually sure if I really lost one of them, but with the other it is that way......
With one, it was just that I got tired of her ways.... hey, if you don't have the money, you can't pretend to make a huge party, then ask your friends to pay it!!!!! What really made me angry was that I told her that even though we (me and my bf) didn't have money at that time, I wanted to help her making cakes, or something... and she said "if you don't have the money, come to visit me some other day". That's not nice.... and it's worse coming from someome who was all the time saying that she was our best friend.... if someome is my best friend, and doesn't have money to come to my party, I pay their part because I want to share that special moment with them!!!!
The other one accused me of doing things to harm her, she said I was hexing her and that she didn't want to hear form me again.... I NEVER did anything to her, and what's worse is that I wrote her an email asking why she said such things and she never answered....
(and if you are reading this.... well, you could have at least written one last mail explaining everything, instead of accusing me and running away.... is it such a difficult thing to reply an email? I don't think so....)
Enough with the rant!!!
Sorry, but I couldn't help it, all this situation makes me feel so sad and angry....
Anyway...... another thing I wanted to write about is that some days ago we had snow here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was amazing, believe me... it doesn't snow here, but it seems that July 9th all weather conditions were perdfect for that. I was coming back home from Ani's house, and I got a SMS from dad telling me that it was snowing at home. I thought he was joking....
Well, he was not.... lol
When I arrived at the train station it was slightly snowing, but then it started snowing more and more, until everything was covered with snow. It was beautiful, we took lots of pics, had one big snowball fight, and even stored some snow in the fridge...... I want to make a snow man with it, then take a pic (I couldn't do it the day it snowed because after the snowball fighting my hands were so cold I couldn't move them)......
And that's almost all I have to tell.... oh, and last Saturday I went to the cimena to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.... it was ok, even though there are lots of parts from the book missing (some which are really important)...... and I hated Umbridge so much!!!! She's as horrible as in the book, and all dressed in pink.... ewwwww
And I loved young Snape..... *drools*
Now I want to see The Last Mimzi, Die Hard 4.0 (yes, that one!) and another one I don't know the title in english but it may be something like The Golden Compass, according to the title in spanish here.......
Since Ani got a job, guess who will be paying the tickets from now on..... mwahahahahhahaha!!!!!! XD
