You never really realize how much time you spend doing things on the internet until you can't really do things on the internet anymore. If you're involved in some kind of online thingie - LJ, newsgroup, playing a game - and suddenly it stops, you find yourself kind of.... bored all of a sudden and you don't know why. When it dawns on you what you had been doing over the last few weeks/months, you wonder how much time you've actually spent NOT doing the things you were supposed to be doing.
However, in my case, I think I've been spending a little more time goofing off lately (well, until just recently) because of several factors. One, I've been doing a lot more work at home - which means I have little free time there. Two, I'm having some technical problems at work, that just take time to overcome (my cells won't grow fast enough!). And three, the holidays are coming, and preparations and plans keep coming up to take me away from regular work (and I'm not just talking about leisure/family type plans, but plans at work too).
In any case, I would like to report that I am still unsure of my status of coming home for Christmas. I could use the time working, but I also miss seeing a lot of my friends.... oh, and family too, I guess...
