I can't remember if I ever mentioned a couple things about my recent home in Oregon, so I think I'll go ahead and give the brief rundown. ( Cut where I describe the richness of the Wilammette Valley )

Long story short, the deer ravaged everything.

This is where a gun and hunting license come in handy.

Then you can have your tomotoes and onions to prepare a nice sauce for venison.

Dude, though I would never kill my deer (and their new babies) I do love venison. Especially in chili.

We were doing surveys about homeowner knowledge of mosquitoes and West Nile, and we came across someone who actually used an electric fence to keep out the deer. They said it works like a charm.

Of course, regular fences (if high enough) seem to work just fine too...

Yeah, the electric works. My neighbor... down the street... has one surrounding his garden. The deer haven't touched it. The problem there becomes the expense. I wish I could afford it.
