alethialia is really loving me up on
crack_van and it is wonderful and awesome! I'm so touched.
Solid Soul is still one of my most favourite stories so seeing it still get love makes me so happy.
* I must be PMSing because
I have been looking at most of the dudes I work with and thinking MAMA LIKE!! The ladies are good too but my brain is howling about like, four of my co-workers, and that is just not right. Then I am angry about it. Then angry about other things. Then unrepentant about wanting to fuck the shit out of the office safety guy/a guy I worked with on a invoice/a guy I talked to on the phone for 45 seconds. Repeat cycle of lust, shame and rage for eight and a half hours. Hormones! This is weird and sexy-uncomfortable! We will watch Sean Cody when we get home so cool your jets while we are at work. No, we are not getting pregnant. No. No. Ew.
* Now that I can afford things other than just my phone bill and loan payments, I have bought myself a few perfumes from Lush.
Let me start by saying that I am really not a perfume person. Most perfume smells the same to me: flat and powdery and old. I have very little nose for it, don't want to smell musty or flowery, and usually when people buy me perfume and I wear it I end up freaking out because I can smell myself and I hate it.
That said, I am really digging the two perfumes I got from Lush. They're both the solid perfumes, which means it's easier to control where the smell goes on you/I can avoid that UGH I AM SMELLING MYSELF AND IT HAS BEEN THE SAME SMELL FOR FIVE HOURS BLECH.
The first one is
Breath of God. On me it starts of very melon-y before moving into a more incense-y, spicy cologne smell. Very androgynous and a little goes a long way, I find. Very intriguing.
The second one (which I FUCKING LOVE) is
The Smell of Weather Turning (I'm not sure if you can buy this in store? Mine came from online, but the store I visit is basically a closet so maybe it's in bigger stores). As soon as you put it on it's super minty but that very quickly turns to a sweetish hay-grass smell. It honestly is very evocative of NATURE. And then lastly on me it turns into a bit of a campire smell, but only the good part of campfires, lightly smoky and warm. So good. I spent the whole day sneaking smells of my wrists while pretending to work on invoices and archiving.
