We got pwnt again. Can't say it was really unexpected... but still, it was rather sad. Anyway, on to the results. Ares and Apollo did a sweep (no surprise there right...), netting the best supporting actors, actress, best actor, best actress, best director, best play etc awards. And Athena got the award for best script. Which leaves us with nothing =(

Truth to tell though, the Ares play was good. At least I thought it was. The acting was fun (any other word to describe?) and the use of lights and sounds was pretty cool. Better than what we did at any rate. I thought the way they planned the storyline out was good as well. Ares won the most prestigious award (best play), as well as best supporting actor. And best director I think. And I think they really deserved it.

We heard that Apollo needed to cut some stuff from their script... supposedly the school wasn't very happy with the content. They still pulled off a good show, exciting bits and all that in. I thought it was rather enjoyable, with the sexual references and acting and all that stuff. Quite a bit of nice work. Ervin won best actor, a prize to which Kevin Cheng disagrees with as "he wasn't acting, he was being himself!" Apollo got most of the best actor/actress awards btw.

Hm. Anyway, on to Athena. They won best script... which I'm not really sure about. I suppose it's good with all its metaphorical allusions and random more cheem stuff. I think I understood what was going on, but I'm quite sure that the people around me didn't. So it could appeal to the judges because of its deeper content I guess, but maybe not to the general audience.

Oh well. On to us. Our script was simple compared to the rest, effects, sounds and lights were as well. It was a rather uncomplicated play. Slight screw ups in sounds as well, though it wouldn't really have made much of a difference. The audience was better the 2nd night than the 1st, which was good. I couldn't help but notice that there were a lot less Artemis supporters than the rest. Either that or they were very unethu. Well, everyone tried their best, so it's no one's fault. We'll just have to do better next time I guess. It was quite sad... everyone was tired and not very happy; the director was heartbroken, crew and cast had mixed reactions. I guess many of us thought that all the effort put in was quite wasted. I didn't really know what to think, just sat there and stoned 'til 11 before I went home.

That's all I guess. Wasn't a really good week. Still have piles of accumulated work to catch up on. KK is probably mugging already, that fake-noob mugger. Right... that's all for now.
