Thank you for allowing Sha'uri and the other Abydons to survive. Not too sure how I feel about the utter closure of Abydos, although I do know I am seriously annoyed with Oma for taking the memory, not just the village, away from Daniel. He loses too much that way, I feel.
But oooh, lovely, lovely, detailed story. Orpheus and Jonas and Sam and Daniel together and just, well, everything.
One thing I kinda regret is that your Daniel, like canon!Daniel, is really not the same person when he comes back. More cynical, less idealism. I know it makes sense, but it saddens me.
Not too sure how I feel about the utter closure of AbydosYeah, me neither. There was a lot in here that I wasn't sure about, which is why it took so much longer than the other books to finish :) It's also part of why I called the 4th book of this series "the end (sort of)," because I'm more satisfied with how those worked out than this one. I did want Abydos to survive, though, and I don't like letting a huge canon event change for the better without something else to balance it, if that makes sense

Sigh. I don't want this to end!
