Huh. I wasn't expecting Daniel to be able to handle the Phoenician, but he managed it in Marduk's place, so... yeah. Okay.

Best parts: Daniel worrying about Teal'c on the trip. Daniel wanting to learn how to "drive." ;) The discussion on "we don't leave our people behind," and all the moral implications behind it. Being frank with Raknor. And LOL that Daniel grudgingly forgives Raknor because Teal'c told him to!

But your teaser, OW. Considering how dismissive Bauer was of Dr. Jackson, how is this one going to react to young Daniel? And Jack going black ops isn't going to be pretty...

I deliberately inserted a line in Daniel & Rothman's conversation in chapter 10 in which Daniel establishes that he knows Phoenician-ish languages, just to cover my ass here :)

As fun as the SGC is for morality discussions, throwing the Tok'ra in just opens up so much more. I like to think they both have good reasons for glaring at each other's methods. Cheers!

Nice team chapter, well, minus Teal'c... Kind of points out how much more fun this episode if when you don't have to watch Teal'c being tortured. ;)

Hehe, yeah. I found the torture scenes powerful as a Teal'c character thing, but who doesn't like a good bomb-disarming geek-out scene instead? :)

I agree--the Teal'c part of the episode was very powerful, and really good character stuff for Teal'c, but I'm a huge fan of geek-out scenes. :)
