Oh, that conversation between Jack and Daniel - perfect, on so many levels.

I love that we see the Enkaran relocation in real time.

So, looks like we're not going to have Watergate this time around...?

Can't wait for more!

Yeah, the Russians never found that Stargate since it wasn't dropped into the ocean. It doesn't mean Maybourne wasn't futzing around with them anyway...

Thanks!

Oh, good job, SG-1!
I like the way you tied it into the time loop!

"Makes you wonder," Jack repeated. "Sometimes, when you got convinced you were just going to loop away, you acted totally different."

Daniel raised his eyebrows. "Really? Me?"

"Yeah."

"Different how?"

Jack shrugged. "Just...like you weren’t real. Sort of...distant. Worked fast as hell, though."

Uh, wow... Yeah. I totally get that...

It was terrific to see how they actually dealt with the relocation, and I'm really liking Daniel being more a part of the team!

PS. I also looked up the word 'affricate'... You know what would be cool if you had more time than you know what to do with which you probably don't? If you wrote some metas on basic latin. Just enough to get us to a place where learning on our own would be a little easier... Er, I guess I'm assuming that half your flist wants to learn latin, which may not be the case, although I can't imagine why...

Whee, thank you!

The thing is that I'm not a Latin expert or anything--I studied it in high school and enjoyed it a lot, but that's it. Even for linguistics or non-English languages in general, I think of myself as an amateur who has taken enough intro classes to sound like she sort of knows what she talks about for ficcing purposes.

But I'll certainly think about it. I realize in retrospect that I throw lines in about proto-languages and phonetics jargon, so maybe I'll someday write a meta on language and historical linguistics as they fit into the Stargate fandom or something. It'll be from a non-expert's POV, though.

That would be interesting! Nothing wrong with looking stuff up, either, so don't let my ignorance lead you to stop using cool words. ;)
