Those who are saying that the Japanese earthquake and tsunami are "payback" for Pearl Harbor, and that this is all about karma, be prepared for what karma will do to us (America). The death toll for Pearl is 2,350.
But for Nagasaki? 60,000-80,000
And Hiroshima? 90,000-166,000
It sickens me that there are people who are blaming a horrible natural disaster on karma. If anything, I hope karma comes back and bites YOU in the ass for saying and thinking such horrible things.
It was a horrible natural disaster, not karma. As human beings, it is our duty to help others when they need it. Shall I remind you of the intense international response after Hurricane Katrina? Even Japan offered their help then, so why shouldn't we return the favor?
In case people didn't know, the US is on pretty good terms with Japan. What happened during WWII is OVER and done with. Sure, we should never forget but at the same time, we shouldn't hold what their ancestors did against them now. Hell, most of the people involved in Pearl Harbor are probably dead now.
How can we ever achieve world peace if there are people like this in the world? We need to learn to grow up and get along.
