All my classes are going well, though hard; midterms are starting, so that just adds to the stress, but that also means that second semester of freshman year is halfway over, which is completely mind-boggling.  I am in love with climbing again, although swing dancing still rules my life.  And there's a ball tomorrow night!!  Swing Club teamed up with Ballroom Club and organized this HUGE dance called the Zoot Suit Ball, with a full 21-piece big band playing swing classics.  I am SO excited for it.  Like, I probably haven't been this excited for anything this entire year.  Eeeee!  And I managed to convince a couple of my friends to come, so that's awesome too.  I get to show off.  Hee hee.
The healthier-lifestyle thing is starting to pay off.  I don't know how much weight I've lost, or how visible the difference is (let's face it - everyone's perception of themselves is at least a little bit distorted), but my heart is healthier and I'm stronger.  Brown is on this huge hill, and whenever you go down into the city of Providence, you have to walk UP the hill to come back to campus.  I used to get really, really, really out of breath walking up the hill; we're talking so out of breath that I was panting and wheezing too hard to breathe properly.  Yesterday?  Out of breath, yes, but only slightly.  And my legs did not burn nearly as much as they used to after walking up that hill.  YAY.
The downside is the reason I had to go to the mall: I dropped my phone and it snapped in half, so I went to the Verizon store in the mall to get a replacement.  They told me that I don't have full access to the family plan and my dad needs to either be there with me, or call the service line and tell them to make me full-access so I can deal with it myself.  Unfortunately my father is currently on a business trip.  So I have no idea when I'm going to get a new phone.  Sigh.  (If it turns out that I can't transfer my card over to the new phone, I'll be asking for all of your numbers again, so stay tuned...)
Also, the Derbies appeared in today's edition of the Brown Daily Herald... naked.  Hee hee hee. (They were strategically arranged, but still.  When derbies are the only things they're wearin', I gotta say... ow OW!)
Oh, and Kristin: I was watching TV the other night and the Duke-MD game was on.  I looked but couldn't find you! :P
