In summary... My laptop crashed. I lost everything. Two years of digital photography... edited and originals. Gone. T'was a tragedy. Also lost was 2 years of school work, poetry, personal writings, research and much more. But most importantly (well the photos were pretty damn crucial), all of my music. Half of which I cannot obtain at this point in time.
But then a light at the end of this dark tunnel. The virus stricken PC, while on its last leg, still held my music. And beyond the music, much to my suprise and delight, I found an entire archive of all of my photography. The originals, the edited ones, and even the ones that I deleted from my laptop over time. Also salvaged was a handful of personal writings which I had thought to have been lost over time since they days which they were conceived on. The most difficult to reproduce being my 6 page epic on my experience with the wonderous and mischeivous plant called Salvia Divinorum (it's an herb FYI... it's a close relative of Mint). Though despite that, my poetry and my 16 page short story about 2 bounty hunters are still completely non-existant.
I am now fully situated in the newly remodeled guest house (now it feels and is much bigger than the apartment was) behind my parents' dwelling. One week and my private parking and entrance will be in place too. Surround sound speakers, PS3, DVD player, digital cable, and my new far-too-expensive macbook pro to compliment all of this.
All bragging aside, it's 2:45am and I'm due up in a handful of hours to depart to Mexico once again. This time my Blue Prelude shall be accompanying me, with me behind the wheel of course. And Scotty Law shall be the co-pilot. And together we shall conquer all that is unconquerable.
I still need to pack before the quest begins...
