Summary: While Merlin waits, Arthur tries to rewrites his fate. The spirits in Avalon have permitted the Once and Future King to roam his past but when he realizes he can change some pages of his book, he tries to fix everything he did wrong. He tries to make Merlin proud in the only way he can: by making their destinies last a little bit longer. But destiny is a troublesome thing and he’s sure that no one can ever fix everything.
Disclaimer: This version of Merlin belongs to BBC and Shine while I may have taken liberties in creating and expanding their worlds. Also, an important note, the Triple Goddess is mentioned quite a lot in this fic and I am aware this is an actual goddess prayed to by those practicing Wicca and I’m terribly sorry -like really, honestly- if I have caused offense by doing so. I would really just would’ve made my own gods but canon said and this is just an elaboration of canon.
