2 entries in one day! What a bargain!
This all happened yesterday, and I felt it was worth sharing:
Ok, so we have 2 regesters in our store, and the only other person who was working with me was doing something important, yet could have been held for a few minutes or even days, on the other regester. All of a sudden we get slammed. Trade in after trade in, and im still trying to finish shipment that the store manager decided not to finish, an dleave the hardest box for me.
A third person comes in (they were on time, so it was alright). Still really doesn't matter because the first person (MY BOSS!) won't help out by using the other regester.
So, alls done and over with, I'm a little po'd, the store is empty. I am doing my work pretty much ignoring the other 2. Another guy comes and and starts looking through the games with his kid. Whatever. He comes to the counter after like 5 minutes, "Hey my kid has to use the bathroom, do you guys have one?" The guy that he asked that was working with me was like "No, but there is one at subway 2 doors down." No big deal....right? The guy turns around and says "Come on, hurry out and pick out your game, so I can take you outside to piss on this guys tire." I thought I heard it wrong, so I disreguarded it, nobody else heard it. It took like 2 minutes and the kid picked out the game and they brought it up to the counter. I was alphatizing cases to get them ready to go out on the wall when this happened. I took the case from him, got his game and called for the other guy who was working with me to ring it up, because the store manager had moved to do something on my regester. Again, no big deal, only one customer. The game advisor puts a few cases on the wall before he comes to ring this guy up, at which time the guy proceeds to say "Could we hurry up a little bit, my kid has to pee?". A legitamate request. The GA gets behind the counter (keep in mind this is the same person who has told him that we didnt have a bathroom.) and rings him up. As he wa doing this the guy was making comments under his breath and swearing at the game advisor (store manager still ignoring this.) but I heard it. And I said "Excuse me sir?". And he said, "You guys are a bunch of pricks, not letting my kid use the bathroom".
With all that has already happened, I had figured it would be best just to disreguard everything and turn away. At which time he decided to remark "Yeah, this is the last time i'm coming into this shithole" (BTW, one of the cleanest and most organized in our district). So I had to make a choice, get into it with this guy and probably get into a lot of trouble, or walk away and leave the GA to have to listen to him. So, being rational, figuring that the sale was already over, and it wasn't worth losing my job over, I turned around and walked into the back. And apparenly he was walking out of the door at the same time and the last thing that he said was "Don't worry, we will get you to a bathroom soon, this is the last time we will be coming to this effing store, what a bunch of assholes."
