(no subject)
I found out that a classmate of mine in spanish named Patrice went to Oviedo last semester! She told the class about her experiences there for her oral presentation. I talked to her after class and now feel a bit better about going to Spain. There is also a meeting for the program tomorrow. And I only know this since Jess got an email. The people at study abroad hate me, I think. It must be that bitch's fault... But I think I'll have a chat with the people on thursday about why I didn't get an email. Anyway, went to nutrition and sat next to Kia, a girl from my spanish class. We had a fun time discussing the two classes and she actually kept me from falling asleep, yays. Also found out our exam scores had been posted online. But first it was off to lunch with Sarah and Jess. When I got back to the room I checked and found out I got a 84%!! The average was a 72% and I can't believe I got that score and without studying too! Yays!
Spent the rest of my afternoon doing hw and I finished reading Howl'. I really liked the book, but I also generally like Diana Wynne Jones for her creativity. Berlinda came over later to share her current major problem- the bug infestation in her room. The building turned the heat on two nights ago and her room has been overrun with bugs. They're coming out of the radiator and are very scary (we saw one of them). They ended up sleeping in the lounge last night in fear. Thus Berlinda spent a good portion of the afternoon in our room hanging out. She shared her mooncakes with us and we shared apple cider. It was a lot of fun, I just wish it had been brought about for different reasons.
Went to dinner sans Ginny and watched as an ambulance and three cop cars pulled up in front of Crabtree. They took some guy away in the ambulance and the cops stayed to deal/question a group of boys in the lobby. This is the second time in two days ambulances have been in campus (there was a car crash yesterday). After that we all hung out in the room. Rachel and I succeeded in tempting Justin to come with us to see Rocky Horror on halloween. But now as I check the umass website it seems like it's not happening this year! I am very sad. TT Maybe we'll have our own, like Rachel suggested. haha. Anyway, Berlinda came back to watch a bit of Shaun of the Dead before LOST. It was good, again. I love the whole Sawyer/Kate romance going on. tehehehe. We then watched Project Runway and I wish I had seen more of it. I'll have to watch the finale next week with Rachel.
