there is a light at the end of the tunnel. this was my to-do list at the beginning of the week

-complete/start three sculptures
-start artist statements/sketches of sculptures
-put together drawing portfolio and sit through critique
-kansas city meeting
-MICA meeting
-complete design project
-complete paper for english
-SanFransico meeting
-study for design exam
-study of academic exams
-commit suicide

and this is my to-do list now! it is significantly smaller!

-artist statement and sketches for sculpture
-paper for english (extension granted!)
-Sanfransico meeting
-study for academic exams

the only reason i got all that done was because i was pulling 18 hour work days, and sleeping less and less as the week went on. my social life was non existant. still is. but now im almost done! i took commit suicide off my list, because im going to be on break soon.

the two weeks after break are called intensive arts. it is where we only have art classes, and they last all day. i was worried about my design class...our teacher is kind of harsh at times. but today she told us that we are going to be working on a mural for the school. and the concept is really cool...so it looks like intensive arts will be cool, and not as stressful as i anticipated.

whats after intensive arts? why, winter break!

the entire break, im only doing a few things. they would be sleeping, painting, and finishing byu application.

so if i dont go to byu, i guess ill just go here again.

maybe tonight i will sleep!

last night was really funny. my friend erin and i were in the studio. we had been there for about five hours after the MICA meeting. it was almost midnight, and we couldnt do anything. we had been working in the studio all day, and all day every day before that, and exhaustion set in, in all its glory. we just sat and half laughed, half cried for a while. then, we saw that people were watching us from their rooms. so i pressed myself against the window and stared back. still laughing slash crying.

good times.
