Family update. a rant and other fun things.
How is everyone? Good I hope. I talked to my Mom today and she said she doesn't think my sister and brother will be visiting with Dad this Thanksgiving. I am not too sure what the situation is with all of that. I'm not even too sure what all they know about Dads situation if anything. I know that he told me not to let any of it out to Mom. Not that I would but I understand Dad not wanting that to happen. I love my Mom but she tends to gloat when things happen to someone who did her wrong in the past. My sister is the same way to a much lesser extent. Both of them will say things like " you should see so and so who made fun of you boy did she get whats coming to her she is so fat." That kind of stuff makes me feel uncomfortable. So as you can imagine with Dad Mom would be much worse. Either way I plan on visiting with Dad on Thanksgiving and taking him something to eat. I know my brother and sister are busy people so am I but I don't know sometimes I wish they would make more time for Dad.
On a different subject I have never read or watched Twilight. I have been curious however about New Moon. I am a really big werewolf fan ( my vampire love is growing because of True Blood.) so that movie has me intrigued. I saw that today's writers block topic was about New Moon. I thought cool I can find out some more opinions on it. I click the link and it's mainly people complaining about the Twilight fandom in general. Now don't get me wrong people are allowed to not like whatever they want. I have things I don't like just like anyone. Thing is I don't understand why people would go into a topic that is clearly aimed at the fans and cause trouble. The only point in going to one of those topics and carrying on about how much you hate something is to be inflammatory. It irritates me when people don't like something so they feel like the people who do should be made to feel stupid.
People act like they don't have the ability to just not look at what they don't like. If you don't like something it's really easy especially online to ignore it click the magical back button or even better yet don't go to that site to begin with. I know this might seem like a silly thing to get irritated about but it's an annoying thing that crops up ever so often on sites like this one. I find flaming and carrying on like that to be both VERY immature and sad.
Also what is the deal with hate/anti sites? Isn't that a huge waste of energy? I mean I will be honest with you I don't much are for Star Wars. Especially the new trilogy which I found to be a snore a thon. I certainly wouldn't waste my time making hate sites for it though. I wouldn't even let my dislike get that strong. I mean hate for a fictional character... just seems like a huge waste.
