Saffron takes center stage
This is my cockatiel Saffron. I got him from my Dad last year for my birthday. He used to breed them before his pair passed. He plans on doing so again when he can get another pair. I think I get my love of birds from my Dad since he has four others now. A cockatoo (Powder), a blue and gold Macaw (Aubrey), A military Macaw (Sam) and a double yellow crested amazon (Polly). It's always funny calling my Dads house or visiting you can hear them in the background chatting or singing. When you visit they always try to show off to get the most attention from company.
Saffron got his name believe it or not from a dream I had where Jared told me the bird had a name and his name was Saffron. Even in the dream I asked "You mean like in that song "Mellow Yellow" ?" and he said yes. Then in the dream I started singing it and the bird was flying around... yes I know weird but at least he got himself a unique name. :)
