Sick and tired of Harper's Crap
So if you've been paying attention, Stephen Harper can apparently do Whatever the Fuck He Wants.
The trick to staying in power in a minority government seems to be making *every* decision a confidence decision, so it becomes: "Do you want an election? really? Right now? Over *this*?!" And the liberals (and whatever semblance of opposition the other parties care to align with the liberals) say "naahhhhh... not really" and the Conservatives get to do whatever they want.
Well, I'm ready for an election. Let's make this latest fiasco over who runs Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. a confidence motion, since they've tied it to the budget. Let's bring this farce to a close, please, so that I can vent about "the Harper years" as a distant uncomfortable memory (like Mike Harris, maybe?) Gah.
