(5 "new" (ie. 6 mo old) photos are up at

monday i went to a doctor (known here as a "general practitioner" or "GP") to get a pap smear done so that i could get a new prescription of birth control. in America (or at least in Nevada?) you have to get a pap smear done before you can get a birth control prescription and you can only get a 1 year prescription at a time so you have to get a pap smear every year....
anyway, went to a doctor ready to get a pap spear so i could get more birth control (the one i've using for year is available in Australia, yay!) and i was told that i didn't need one. D: apparently in Australia you only have to have one done every 2 years and since i'd had one done in Dec 2009 when i went to Vegas i don't need another until this Dec. the doctor just gave me the standard check up and gave me a prescription that'll last till Dec. :)
when i went to fill the prescription i was ready to dish out $$ because i've been paying $245~ in America for 3 month's worth without insurance, so i suspected that would at least be that much if not more here. turns out 3 month's worth was only $70!!! my jaw almost hit the floor when i was told the total. it was seriously a Looney Tunes moment. AWESOME. :DDDDD
but i can't really be too happy because Thursday i have a dentist appointment and all the dentist work that i need done IS going to cost me $$$$$$$.... there are a gazillion things wrong with my mouth and i have no insurance... Thursday's appointment is just for x-rays + cleaning + treatment consultation but even just that is going to set me back $263. :/ getting the actual work done is bound to break me... i'll have to space it all out as much as i can so that i can afford it, but i really do need the work done...
....i really wish i had taken better care of my teeth growing up. :/ it took them turning to shit to make me start worrying and by then it was too late. u_u; *sigh*
