missed another day.... glad this is almost over.
30 Day Meme: JAPAN
DAY 19 - Your favorite Japanese character(s) and Gachapon/UFO Catcher toys
i'm not sure what this question means by "Japanese character(s)".... hiragana/katakana/kanji...? @_@ <- is clueless.
i guess my fav kanjis are 凸 and 凹 because of their pictogram-ness. as for hiragana and katakana, i don't really like any character more than another... i do hate ツ and シ, though.
as for UFO Catchers, i never played them since i knew i'd never win anything from them so it'd just be a waste of money. i have, however, bought some of their prizes! D; all of the UFO Catcher dolls i've ever had i bought before i even went to Japan. here's a photo of them, just to go down memory lane.

DAY 20 - Favorite Japanese festival or folklore.
hmmm... well my favorite matsuri (festival), as predictable as this is, would have to be
Yosakoi, but i have to admit that i haven't seen a lot of matsuri...Tanabata is nice too and
Setsubun is fun(ny). :] i can't think of my fav Japanese folklore atm....
30 Day Meme: RANDOM STUFF
DAY 19 - A talent of yours
i have no talents! ;(
DAY 20 - A hobby of yours
recently i've been "reading up a storm" having finally gotten back into my previous hobby of reading. i love photography and sometimes wish that it was more than just a hobby.... i like to collect crystals/stones as well as books and i got into collecting artistic/memorable/amusing postcards while in Japan. i'm considering collecting postcards/cards in general here in Australia too once i get a job and can afford to.
i wish i had a more productive/crafty hobby.... everytime i've gotten into a craft (pottery, crochet, knitting etc) i've never kept it up.... maybe once i have a steady income i can start getting my photos printed (i NEVER print my photos....) and get into scrapbooking....? hmmmm.....
