...i really, really didn't intend to not update for so long. in fact, it was my intention to update as soon as i got here, but one awesome time lead to another awesome time and now here it is exactly a week later and i'm just now posting my first update from Brisbane.

so much has happened now that i can't even recap it all. :( anyway, the flight wasn't bad. i flew "business class" for the first time, but it was just the biz class of a budget airline so it was nothing particularly special. me and my 50kg of luggage made it from Tokyo to Cairns where i temporarily got lost and then nodded off for several hours before finally arriving in Brisbane. it was around 22c when i arrived and raining, which continued for the next 3~4 days. it certainly didn't feel like winter. ^^; in Cairns i didn't even need a jacket, but i put one on once i got to Brisbane. the past 3~ days have been sunny and windy as fuck and thus colder. still isn't anything like winter in any other place that i've lived, though. people are fucking walking around in shorts and swimming here! D;
me and David have been doing lots. :] too much to tell. he starts a new job next week, which was good timing as it gave/gives us 2 weeks together before he starts. in terms of getting stuff done that needs to be done, i mailed in my application for a pension refund, so hoooopefully i'll have a nice lump-sum of money deposited into my Australian bank account in a few months. i also just scheduled for my last paycheck to be transfered into my Australian bank account, so hopefully i'll get that tomorrow. i just got a cellphone yesterday (an HTC Legend!), a Queensland drivers license today (which i dont intend to use, it's just a useful thing to have) and i put in an app to have my name added to the lease of the house. my name being on the lease will be really important when it comes time to apply for my next visa... oh, i've also finished typing up a resume and will start applying for volunteer & paying jobs soon.... trying to learn my way around more first. ^^;
can't say everything that's gone on over the past week, but those are the most important things i guess. ^^; i have lots of photos to post.... i'm backlogged with photos. :/ i finally sorted my last photos from Kochi and uploaded 14 of them to PANDAmories. i'm working on sorting through my Tokyo photos and once i get those uploaded i'll try to get up-to-date on Australian ones. i also need to design a new header and layout.... should i keep up my current line of layouts and title the next "WTF? Australia"? hmmm....
