sigh sigh again
i'm back from my 10day trip to Brisbane and, of course, not that happy about it.
the trip was awesome. :) i stayed in the new house that David, K & R just leased before i got there and got to help set up our place and stuff. that was awesome but also a bit mindfucking... ^^; went to a lot of stores including IKEA, bought and built furniture etc and arranged stuff... it almost felt like i had moved there already and was starting a new life, but of course i still have 4 months till that happens. :'( it was so nice, but then i had to come back here.... >_>;;;; anyway, yeah. our place is setup and stuff! :D the house is HUGE and really nice. :) me and David's room(s) is 2x the size of my current apartment. :3 here are some photos, the ones between the balcony and the outside of the house = me and David's room(s).
aside from house photos, i didn't take many photos since i didn't do any touristy stuff & i'll be living there soon enough anyway! aside from spending time with David and setting up our place, i spent much of the time marveling laughing at Australian English & staring at hugeass spiders and beautiful birds. Brisbane has some of THE biggest spiders and largest variety of birds i have EVER seen... before going to Brisbane i had only seen cockatoos, parrots and other colorful birds in pet stores, but in Brisbane they're all over the damn place like pigeons are elsewhere! and the huge spiders all around the outside of the house... *shudders* there were also several daddy longlegs IN the house and those arent even the worst of Brisbane's spiders lulz. *sweatdrops*
anyway, trip was THE AWESOME. i am SO ready to move over there (armed with bug killer/repellent)! >_<; i looked at some employment ads just to get a sense of the job market, went to a career fair, explored the Uni of Queensland (the school i'd like to go to) and even opened a bank account.
CAN I LEAVE YET???
on second thought, give me a month without work to gorge on my favorite japanese food, among doing other things, and then i'll be ready to go. not that i dislike japan, it's just that David isn't in Japan and my job is meh, so yeah....
i have to try to look beyond my job and make the most of the next 4 months. as soon as i have enough money, i will apply for my visa and book my flight to Brisbane.
