[ART4U] Junko Mizuno/KASHIMA/HABU
anyone who has followed my lj for a while knows that i like to randomly promo my favorite artists on lj *cough*with the hope of getting them new fans*cough*. up until now it`s been musicians, but tonight i feel like sharing my fav graphic artists. ^-^ i suck at describing how awesome art stuff is, so rather than throwing a bunch of written crap at you, i`ll throw out samples of their stuff. ^^;
Junko Mizuno
you may have seen her artwork before as she is pretty famous even outside of Japan. imho, she is the a leading force behind "kawaii noir" and another emerging art style that i`m not even sure what to call. not much needs to be said, her work speaks for itself. [ sample some ]

KASHIMA
no where near as well known as Junko yet, KASHIMA`s style is too awesome for words. i first discovered KASHIMA in a book store in December of 2007 and have since made it my mission to own anything KASHIMA that i can get my hands on. 8) please check out this artist. i promise you wont regret it. ;) [ older work ] + [ newer work ]
HABU
Tsuneo Habu, more commonly known as HABU, is currently my favorite photographer. he has published nearly a dozen books of nothing but one of my favorite types of photography: skycapes. every book of his that i have the pleasure of owning or have had the pleasure of looking through at bookstores has been breathtaking... ;-; his work is so awesome... i didnt think anyone loved the sky as much as i do. D; even if you happen to not particularly care for skyscape photography, i guarantee that even you will be moved by atleast one 5+ photos. D; [ sample! ]
