i`ve been really lazy for the last week + and have been putting off writing about this and that, so this entry may or may not get a lil long. ^^;
let`s see... i have 2 more days left at Otsu JHS, wednesday (normal classes w/ 1st & 2nd yrs) and next tuesday (closing ceremony).
this past friday was my last time seeing the 3rd years. :[ even though i didn`t teach them much this year, i still atleast somewhat knew them from teaching them last year as 2nd yrs, twaz a sad and yet happy day with lots of picture taking on everyone`s part. i think that before the month is over, i`m going to try to sort through the various photos i`ve taken at Otsu and make a photo album on my site. we`ll see... ah and before i forget, i got the Otsu yearbook that i ordered on friday. :] i was impressed and disappointed by it at the same time. ^^; i was impressed that the whole book was comprised of glossy, color photos. i was disappointed that it only had photos of the 3rd year classes and 3rd year-related school events/activities. :[ i suppose i shouldnt have assumed it`d be like American yearbooks in that it`d have photos of EVERYone, but oh well. i am still very much happy with my purchase. :]
now on to random music stuff... i`ve found out recently that a lot more artists come to Kochi than i thought and so now i`m looking into buying tickets for some lives/concerts...
but one thing is stopping me. all 2~3 of the groups that i`m considering seeing are "all standing" lives... no seats and its rock/visual kei so it`s likely to be a mash of people and yeah... i`m not really comfortable being in a mash (pit?) of people jumping up and down and waving their arms in the air for 2hrs+. :/ if only they were seated concerts...! >_<; but then again, i guess if i ever hope to attend a visual kei/rock concert, it`d prob be in my best interest if my first experience was at a live in lil ol Kochi vs. Osaka or Tokyo.
iono... ;-; should i go, should i not.... will i be able to enjoy myself if i go? x_x;; whaa... i want to see One Ok Rock, Chatmonchy and possibly Nightmare... :/
changing the subject again... today is payday! and i have FINALLY followed through with my plan to save money for the first time. :]
finally. as a new years resolution, i decided that i would "save money godfkindamnit". more specifically, i set a goal of saving 100,000yen (about 1,000usd) from my paycheck every month starting last month and today i furikomi`d (transfered) my first 100,000yen to my new Japan Post savings account from last month`s paycheck. w00t! D; it feels really really good to have made it to a payday without being broke. up until now since i have been in Japan i have always BARELY made it to EVERY payday... because i suck. now i just have to keep this up. >_<; a month from now i should have double what i have now in my JP savings account...
going off on a tangent, i`ve also been doing good at keeping my new years resolution to cook more. :]
i`m really happy about that as well. tonight i intend to make some random pasta dish that i saw a dreamy "vision" of while falling asleep last night lmao. maybe it`s kinda worrying, the last thing you think about before falling asleep at night is how you can throw X, Y & Z together for dinner tomorrow? anyway, i hope my dreamy "vision" turns into a delicious reality tonight. ^^;
lets see, i`ve covered work, music & food so far... what else... oh yeah, hopefully i`ll be buying a PS2 tomorrow. :D w00t! i need to put up my kotatsu tonight to make room for the DDR mat. ^-^ maybe i should skip buying tickets for concerts and use that money to buy myself more PS games instead lol...
*sigh* today i`m at the BOE only because the school i was suppose to go to (Otsu JHS) is on break (daikyuu) today... tomorrow & thurs i go to Kera JHS for the first time in 3 weeks. >_>;; that should be... yeah. wednesday, as i mentioned above, will be my 2nd to last day at Otsu and my last teaching day... it will also be my last day with English Club, so i`m planning to make fudge brownies with the students. ^-^; hopefully that`ll make for a good last English Club meeting... friday is a holiday.
here`s hoping that this week goes well.
