back in koooooccchhii! thank you everyone who wished me luck. <3
some comments on the trip:
- Japan does indeed have a lot of nature.... i saw so many breath-taking sights on the bus and train... i have never seen anything more beautiful in my life. words cannot describe what i saw... JR Dosan Line FOR THE WIN. without a doubt if someone seriously traveled japan doing nature photography, they would be able to make a nice living off of it. too bad that someone can't be me.
- Takamatsu... why can't Kochi be like Takamatsu? ;-; Takamatsu has the high rises and shops that i love! i was completely content with Kochi until i experienced Takamatsu lol. wait until i go to Nagasaki and Fukuoka.. oh god.
- but i still wub mah lil' kochi-shi. <3
- (so i say now before having experienced Fukuoka)
- i didn't get to really see any of Takamatsu, though, besides what the bus drove over/through... once i got to the station i bought dinner and breakfast, caught a cab and then locked myself in my room to study for the night. when i checked out in the morning, it wasn't even light out yet. D':
- i definitely want to travel more now... taking buses and trains in Japan is very convenient and nice, plus the views can be so.... indescribably beautiful.
- the test.... was actually shorter (question wise) than i had expected. i'm glad i over estimated it, though. i finished the writing/vocabulary & reading/grammar sections before the allotted time was up. hopefully this will work to my advantage next year..... the listening portion is crap. utter crap. i hated it. they didn't repeat anything and each question comes right after the other so you have no time to rethink your answers. if you do, you miss something from the next question and you might be screwed. :/ and there is no time after all the questions have been read to go back and fill in skipped things. crappy. i'll be surprised if i don't pass the test, but i'm more curious to find out my score than anything else... if i get a high score then i'll feel a little better in pursuing level 2...
- speaking of level 2, i am definitely going for level 2 of the JLPT this time next year.... but level 2 is a monster compared to level 3 on all accounts. i will start studying for level 2 as soon as my brain gets a little break.
- the hotel in Takamatsu was alright. smaaalll room, but quaint. i really don't expect a room the size of an american hotel for the prices i'm willing to pay in Japan. i wouldn't mind staying at that hotel again if i go to Takamatsu again... which i probably will
- speaking of which.... i got the Young Weekend Card that i mentioned in a previous post. corrections to my previous post: the card isn't free, it's 1,000yen and it's for trains only. :P but it's still awesome. i want to ride trains more after this trip and now it wont cost me as much to explore Shikoku. :D
- ..........i can't wait for my vacation. traveling is fun and this time i'll have my camera.
...moving on to things concerning this coming week: i have nothing but elementary school classes this week. talk about "大変"... 5 elementary visits in a row. tomorrow i have two 3rd year classes at Misato E.S... they want me to teach.... sports.... or cooking. cooking is not an option as i don't have the props i would need and i've had no time to prepare such stuff. sports.... i know absolutely nothing about sports!! ...but atleast teaching that doesn't need as many props. i plan on getting to the school early and printing off some flashcards because i have none on the subject atm. then i'll do the usual routine of vocab teaching, vocab review game + funner game.
i'm tired, though... so once i throw this lesson plan together, i think i'm going to pass out. finally JLPT anxiety is out of the picture again.... for a while.
