kitchen
a modern (by Japan standards) mini-kitchen! lucckkkyy!!
with a fridge like that, i sure as hell will be making the most out of Japan's wannabe "stove tops".
entrance
yes... the sink is by the front door, in the kitchen area.
don't ask me, i don't know. but it's cute 'cause it's small and has a long mirror...? i'm going to have to buy a shoe rack because i have more shoes than my pred does lolol.

from the entrance
the view with your back to the front door. i /think/ the door on the left is to the bathroom/shower... but that seems kind of odd by japanese terms as i've never seen a toilet in the same room as a tub in Japan?
main room 01
the apartment is a studio and this is one end of the room.

main room 02
the main room of the studio apartment. i LOVE the wooden floors.
main room 03
another part of the main room. my laptop will soon be on that little table. :[
but look! an AC! OMG AN AC IN JAPAN! now to buy a heater.

from the main room
the view from the main room to the front door/kitchen. there's a sliding door to separate the two rooms.
balcony 01
yes, in Japan it is standard to have your washing machine on the balcony of your apartment. note that drying machines do not exist in apartments, you must hang dry EVERYthing.
i swear, for a country so technologically advanced, Japan is so damn behind.

balcony 02
the view from my balcony. :o my pred says i'm on the eastern edge of the city...
the apartment is a studio apartment that is pretty new and relatively modern. my pred said that he may have been the first one to stay in it. :) While the apartment is a studio, meaning it's not really big like the apartments of some JETs, its modernness somewhat makes up for that imho. it also helps that i just lived in a shitty, old college housing studio apartment, so i appreciate EVERY little thing. *hugs the wooden floors and the nice sized fridge* i wish i had had you 2 years ago!
my pred informed me that i will have to pay some money upfront for the apartment... about $500 (2 months worth of rent?) + housing insurance ($100?), and i will have to get my own furniture, minus the fridge, table, chairs and a toaster. i hope i wont have to sleep on the floor the first night(s). ^^' i'm hoping that the modernness of the apartment + it not being on the 1st floor will help detour bugs from entering the apartment....
apparently the apartment is a 3 minute walk away from a trolley station that will take me across town (w00t!) and a 15-20 minute ride (by trolley or bike) to the BOE office, where i'll be spending most of august until school starts. he recommends getting a bike and has even offered me one. :)
 anyway, i'm tired... am i ever not?
