I did a bit of a stocktake and decided to enrol in tertiary education. It's 2006, at the end of this year I will turn 30. I figure that by the time I'm 40, if I havent made it in any of my other pursuits I better have a good solid tertiary qualification to back up my already pretty good industry certs and experience. Now, just to decide what to do exactly...
... I enrolled in HINDI at the Open Learning Australia facility. My plan is to do the other 4 units within the next 2 years, so that I will arrive at a place where I speak fluent HINDI. I'd love to learn Mandarin and Japanese at the same time, I figure I will try to pick up Japanese because I already learnt it for 3 years in high school. So it will be more about relearning. Anyway, Hindi starts 10th February. I am looking forward to it!
I'd love to be at a place before I'm 35 and know Hindi, Japanese and Mandarin. I think they are the languages of the future, at least if you want to be active in the Asia Pacific arena.
