heh, actually there isnt THAT much to do in singapore, but i think its more a lifestyle thing than a "oo oo, i want to see 1,001 tourist attractions"... but it had a charm about it. i did the pub/nightbar scene friday and saturday nights and it was pretty groovy...but if you don't like that scene i can see that would be 1 less attraction to singapore...

shopping yeah... sure it wasnt that much cheaper. i guess i was looking for variety. i found a indian panjabi suit which i will have to take photos of me wearing lol!

interestingly enough, my experiences in malaysia were the opposite to you krystal - i only spend 2 days there though and i only went aroudn Kuala Lumpur. The people in the city didnt give me a good impression of Malaysia though....

duckster - shame man!!!! i would have loved to have gone with you. you gotta try a singapore sling (a drink dude, dont get too excited) and go down to Clarke Quay and visit First Night Stand, Attica 2 or Forbidden City. They were pretty happenin' places for nightclub stuff...otherwise avoid, and go somewhere cruisy like Raffles. Raffles was awesome, and they make nice Gin and Tonics :)))))))

simlin square is a good place for variety of gadgets etc, but pricing is not much cheaper than back home. once again, you're looking for variety that sometimes you cant get here in melbourne (without paying a premium)
