(no subject)
Today I miss Victor........... a lot. I'm trying to remember all the bad things about him and how painful our relationship was. It's been over a month since we've seen each other, and almost a week with no contact. sigh:: I thought things would be easier by now.
We have a 3-day weekend, which is great, because I have catching up to do on reading. I had a good first week; I like my instructor, she is new to the faculty and really encourages us that she hopes we will "all pass". Wow!!! A teacher who isn't out to fail her students?!?!!!
My first clinical day I managed my time well, charted for both patients, and felt like I did some good for both of them. one of my patients was Vietnamese, dying of thyroid cancer. I admire the strong family value in their culture; he was not alone one minute throughout the day. his daughter, his son, his wife, his daughter-in-law were all there at some point. They even helped me take care of him, and taught me a few things. :)
Well, I'm off to church! Seeya
