Yesterday I went home early enough to see glorious sunlight. I finally figured out that since mornings are short, I should use my evenings to garden. I spent an hour out in the yard yesterday, and got spinach and lettuces planted, finally.
I'm puzzling over what bit of bed to work on next. I know I've got some more cold-loving seeds, and the warm beds need to be prepped.
It's chilly, and still very brown in the yard, but blooming yellow daffodils and lovely purples crocuses make me feel quite cheerful.
My brain is all full of plans. I know where I want more low-growing herbs to go, and how we want to terrace our hill and plant hummingbird attractants, and I had the big duh of realizing that we SHOULD plant crocuses under the tree because there's plenty of sunshine when there's no leaves yet. And there are hosta and ferns to be moved around soonish.
And and and and...
Peonies are SO RED when they first start poking out of the ground.
exercise is our friend,
omega-3s,
lurking pantheist leanings,
real food,
glorious gardening,
greens every day
