Progress report

Last year at this time I was not walking through woods all lit with yellow leaves. I was not scuffling through a wet brown carpet of leaves and feeling my hipbones move me. I was limping downtown to PT for my aching feet. I was driving to work at least twice a week, often more. Sometimes that was because I had to drive to yoga class first, but the rest was pure laziness.

Yoga class was lovely, but I feel even better now than I did then.

I finally reset my pedometer for my current weight. (Which has been stable for the last couple of months.) It was only 5 lbs over, but I think it will register more accurately this way. I was starting to wonder if it was counting all my steps.

For the first time in a long time I've got aerobic steps 6 days out of 8 on the pedometer. I've just done 4 days consecutively, which I haven't been doing much lately. I think I'm at day 98 or 99 of a hundred thirty-something. So I'll reach 100 soon. I don't have a new goal, except to keep going and keep counting and see what happens. Wonder when I'll get to 200?

I may add some indoor exercise to my walk to work to get me through the winter feeling fit. First the changing length of days killed my evening walk, and now the weather is starting to change my inclinations. I don't mind cold, but I'm not going into the woods while it is actually precipitating. I'm thinking about yoga, if I can afford it, or the exercise bike again. We'll see. We'll have the time change, and then we'll see.

exercise is our friend, lurking pantheist leanings
