Yogurt

I forgot about my pressing need for yogurt!

In my zeal for making a family breakfast these last several weeks, I decided to alternate oatmeal and boiled eggs with toast and yogurt (plus fresh fruit and sometimes veg also). My plan was for there to be as little decision-making as possible, except that I might, if I felt like it and the kitchen was clean enough, make something special/different/fancy for Sunday morning.

However, I now remember from doctor's visit following an EPIC menstrual-related FMS flareup, regular calcium intake makes me vastly saner. I had gone off of my usual breakfasts because we were at a B&B. The results were tragic. Returned to eating yogurt nearly every morning and my period became less heinous.

It is no hardship to add a dollop of yogurt to the oatmeal and boiled eggs breakfast. Today it went down like a magical soothing elixer. Ahhh.

Now, if only I can get my morning wake-up time back so that I can actually go down and make breakfast in a timely way and get to work on time. The schedule that works is waking at 7, playing with the baby until 7:30, giving him back to Jen to be cuddled or nursed, going down to make breakfast and do a little kitchen cleanup, and then everyone comes down to breakfast at 8. Waking at 7:30 and skipping baby playtime does not actually lead to me going down to make breakfast right away. Especially not when I'm flared and slow-moving.

I do feel somewhat better today. Last night my son fell asleep in my arms again and stayed asleep after I put him down, even though Big Milk Thing wasn't home yet. Those moments are so golden.

Also, it is really fun to realize just how very ignorant wee babies are. Sparkles and I were looking at books and I blew his little mind. First it was because I showed him real glasses next to the picture of glasses and real keys next to the picture of keys. Then I made farm animal noises not in the text on the second read of the next book.
