My cheeks hurt.
So I just watched the last fifteen minutes of the series finale of "Smallville" and honestly COULD NOT STOP GRINNING.
Yes, even though I haven't watched a whole episode since somewhere in the fifth or sixth season, I simply had to watch the finale because I was sure the ending would be iconic and GUESS WHAT, GUYS. IT KIND OF WAS.
HERE, LET ME LIST THE THINGS I LOVED:
- THE COSTUME CAAAAAPE.
- THE JOHN WILLIAMS SUPERMAN THEME.
- THE FLASHFORWARD WITH CHLOE AND JIMMY AND PERRY'S CURSING.
- THE JOHN WILLIAMS SUPERMAN THEME.
- LOISSSS. ♥
- THE JOHN WILLIAMS SUPERMAN THEME.
- LEX ELECTED PRESIDENT. HELLO, CONTINUITY.
- OH OH AND DID I MENTION THE JOHN WILLIAMS SUPERMAN THEME. COMBINED WITH TOM WELLING FINALLY RIPPING HIS SHIRT OPEN TO REVEAL DAT 'S' AND FLYING OFF TO THE THEEEEEEME. BECAUSE THAT JUST MADE MY ENTIRE LIFE KIND OF MAYBE.
Except where was the spit-curl? WHATEVER. NUANCE. I AM PLEASED.
And even though I still think the series would have been oodles more epic if they had been allowed to feature a young Bruce Wayne, eh. That's what fanwork is for. \o/
On another note, I saw "Thor" on Tuesday night and very much enjoyed it! Chris Hemsworth, you now own my ovaries. Or at least share them with the other ridiculously attractive men who also own my ovaries.
So yes, "Thor" = great fun. "Smallville" = satisfactorily ended. Now please don't ruin my week by being disappointing, Supernatural. No more killing Crowley, okay? AND CAS. CAS MUST REMAIN ALIVE AND WELL. AND BOOBY. PLEASE DO NOT KILL BOOBY.
